iF Design Award for Siedle Basic
The iF International Design Forum has conferred the prestigious internationally renowned iF Design Award 2016 on the audio indoor station of the new Siedle Basic design line.
Following the German Design Award, this is already the second high-profile design prize conferred on the low-cost entry-level indoor station. The iF Design Award is conferred by the International Forum Design in Hanover. It is considered worldwide as one of the leading institutions for industrial design. A high-calibre panel of judges chose the winners from over 5,000 submissions.
Siedle Design – newly interpreted
The design of Siedle Basic is the contemporary reinterpretation of Siedle's design style. The design is unobtrusive while still distinctive and concise. Fine details such as the perforations with graduated depths and the bevelled sides lend the product a uniquely elegant light touch. The clear design contributes to the intuitive operation which practically eliminates the possibility of operating errors. All important functions can be controlled by just two buttons which are double assigned.
