From Vario old to Vario new
Years of use under inhospitable conditions have taken their toll on a good few original Vario 511 series systems. An adapter permits simple replacement by the successor model, leaving the flush-mount housing in the wall.
Audio or video door station
Siedle Vario 511 systems are generally still going strong – but are unable to accommodate new technologies such as fingerprint recognition or link-up to the public telephone network.
A simple adapter plate provides a convenient solution. It is placed on the existing housing, allowing the mounting frame and function modules from the current Vario range to be inserted.
This allows the existing grouted-in housing to go on being used. Whether or not this applies to the existing wiring and the remaining components depends on the installation system and the required functional scope. Your electrical installer will provide competent information on site.

Letterbox systems with front removal
If letterboxes are recessed into the wall, exchanging them is particularly time-consuming and difficult, involving changing the wall opening, removing the old housing and inserting a new one.
Not the case when replacing a Siedle Vario 511 series letterbox by the successor version Vario 611. Here, the existing flush-mount housing stays in the wall and continues to be used.
A special profile frame accommodates the letterbox and all other functional modules of the current system.

Pass-through letterboxes
This flush-mount solution involves a letterbox which passes through the entire width of the wall, allowing mail to be removed from the inside.
Here too, Siedle offers conversion kits for upgrading to the current system Vario 611. These are mounted on the existing housing, eliminating the need for masonry and caulking work. Even the raised height of the frame is not increased.
