From Vario old to Vario new

Audio and video systems from the Siedle Vario 511 range still do their job even after a long time – as is typical for Siedle products. New technologies, such as a fingerprint reader or a connection to the telephone network or the Internet, can be integrated with ease thanks to an adapter plate. This is placed on the old housing and allows the mounting frame and function modules of the current Vario range to be fitted.

Mounted on the adapter, the modules from the current 611 series cut a fine figure with their new design. The plastered-in housing continues to be used; cables and other components are added depending on the scope of functions required. This keeps the costs for modernisation down. If letterboxes are fitted in the wall, replacement can be a complex affair. After all, the opening in the wall needs to be changed, the old housing has to be removed and replaced with a new one. But that’s not the case when replacing a letterbox system from the Siedle Vario 511 range with its successor the Vario 611. A special profile frame accommodates the letterbox and the function modules of the new system while the existing flush-mount housing remains in use. Depending on the installation system and the scope of functions required, it may be possible to retain the old cables and other components too. These letterboxes extend through the entire wall. Siedle offers conversion kits for converting these to the current Vario 611 system too. They are placed on the existing housing, so there’s no need for work on the masonry or cutting work. Even the raised height of the frame remains the same.
