Digital and analogue telephone systems

The Smart Gateway for VoIP systems or the Siedle DoorCom for analogue systems establish the connection. Whenever a visitor rings the doorbell outside, the telephone inside rings wherever it is – from your office or balcony to the cellar. If you are further afield, you can let in visitors via your phone. Any user can be reached at the office from their doorstep. Our technology simply uses the existing telephone system for door communication.

The view from the front door on TV: digital or analogue

As soon as a visitor rings the doorbell, their image appears on the smart TV; in full screen or as picture-in-picture. A telephone takes on the speech and door release functions. Displaying the view from the front door on the TV is just one way that video decoupling can be used via Smart Gateway or bus video demodulator (BVD): the camera images from Siedle door intercom systems can be also be fed into surveillance systems and other video monitors.

The bus video demodulator (BVD)

Siedle Bus-Video-Demodulator

Demodulation makes it possible to use the video signal from a Siedle in-home door station in other systems. The Smart Gateway takes care of this for IP networks, while analogue systems use the bus video demodulator. Installed in the switching cabinet, it decouples the video signal from the data transfer and delivers a neutral FBAS signal. Permanent monitoring is not possible in the In-Home bus.
