Made in the Black Forest: About Siedle

What defines Siedle? We believe it is the people above all else. What they do, how they do it, the level of care, concentration and precision with which they work. And the positive effect this has on the quality of our products. Therefore it is only right that our employees are the focus of our company film.

Origins and outlook

We’ve grown from a pioneer of door intercoms to a leader in building communications innovations with systems in use worldwide – in small and large residential buildings, in companies, clinics, concert halls and museums.

Siedle Experts and innovators

Experts and innovators

From video intercoms at entrances to mobile door opening via smartphone and linked communication systems, we develop and manufacture products that help us communicate – from inside to outside, privately and publicly, at home and on the go.

About our products

Shaping the future

As specialists in building communications, our focus is on networking – both technologically with our IP systems that integrate door communication in businesses and smart homes, and strategically by working together with partners such as Jung and eNet Smart Home Alliance.

Family business in its seventh generation

In the mid-18th century, Mathäus Siedle began casting bells for clock manufacturers from his home in the Black Forest. His great-grandson Salomon entered a second business: low-power technology. In 1887 our company manufactured the first-ever telephones, and later specialised in home and door telephone equipment.
The site where our company first started over two-and-a-half centuries ago is still our base of productions today.
