Video concierge via Siedle app
Siedle sets up IP system Access more broadly
11.03.2026
Siedle is broadening its IP system for building communication and control Siedle Access. The new update comes with two enhancements: The concierge video functions are now available on mobile devices via the Siedle app. The update also enables low-barrier and standard-compliant IP door stations.
Siedle has gradually expanded the functions of its IP system in recent years: with the concierge function for indoor devices, the connection of external IP cameras and the option of switching between different IP cameras. Now users can also communicate with the concierge, caretaker or security service via the Siedle app – including video transmission.
"This turns the app into a fully-fledged indoor call station – and Siedle has a coherent bundle of functions with clear added value, especially in the high-end residential segment," says Markus Hummel, Product Manager at Siedle. Planners and operators get everything from a single source. Siedle supports the projects via its network of access partners from consultation to commissioning.
Concierge camera on the Smartphone
A new and additional "Concierge" tile on the dashboard of the Siedle app makes the functions available for mobile use: The "Concierge camera" transmits the video image from an IP camera to internal users at the reception desk, for example. Residents see the visitors first and then decide whether they want to receive them. The resident speaks to the concierge and sees the visitor at the counter at the same time.
Low-barrier door Station
The second innovation is the integration of the Siedle status display in Access systems of the new Siedle Vario generation. It enables a barrier-free display of door statuses and supports people with impaired vision, hearing or perception. These systems therefore fulfil the standard for barrier-free building in Germany (DIN 18040).
The LED display shows the various statuses: Calling, speaking, door opening and "unavailable". If required, acoustic feedback can also be activated. The status display is available for systems of the Siedle Vario design line and can be seamlessly connected to the door station via the proven installation concept using a ribbon cable.
Siedle Access with the two new functions is planned for April 2026.
