New features for Siedle IQ

First firmware update for new IP system

04.03.2026

Siedle is continuously developing the cloud-based Siedle IQ system. The first firmware update brings important functional enhancements and convenience functions: New features include a second door station per system, the image memory for the Siedle app and visual feedback of the door opener on the IQ Door. All systems that are connected online to the IQ platform receive the updates automatically and free of charge.

Siedle IQ can now control two door stations per system. This means that the system can also be used in buildings with a secondary access, for example at the rear entrance or in the garage. Both door stations require an identical call destination configuration. During commissioning, the electrician determines which is the main door and which is the side door. The call behaviour is clearly regulated: If a call is already in progress at one destination, the second door reports busy. The upper limit of twelve indoor stations per system remains in place.

Picture memory in the Siedle app

With the image memory, residents can view snapshots of missed visitors later. For data protection reasons, the function is initially switched off; an electrician must activate it via the IQ Config app. The resident can then use it in their Siedle app.

Low-barrier door communication

The third new function relates to the IQ Door door station. An LED display indicates for three seconds when the door opener has been activated during a call – whether via the IQ Indoor indoor station or the Siedle app.

Siedle IQ consists of a cloud-based platform, digital services and IP video intercom systems with apps. The centrepiece is the IQ platform. Siedle uses it to provide regular security updates and smart functions. The new functions are part of firmware version 1.1, which will be pre-installed in new devices from April 2026. Existing systems in online operation will receive the update automatically via the IQ platform. Offline systems must be updated by an electrician on site via the IQ Config app. Siedle recommends the update because it is the only way to ensure that all future extensions will work.
