Special functions
Call buttons with Braille inscription, inductive loops for hearing aids or drive-under letterbox systems: By providing special functions, Siedle is addressing different needs.
For blind and visually impaired visitors, Siedle offers a large-area call button with a raised Braille inscription.
Helpful for those who use hearing aids is an induction loop of the kind used in museums. It transmits acoustic signals from the intercom system via induction loops in the floor and wall directly to the visitor's hearing aid.
Exemplary speech quality, even with hearing aids: Siedle indoor stations with receiver are fitted with a loop for inductive coupling of the audio signal. This allows wearers to hear the tone directly over their hearing aid. With this technology, the indoor stations fulfil the European standard for hearing aid-compatible means of communication (ETS 300 381).

Siedle systems offer almost limitless possibilities with their modular design and adjustment to customer needs. They permit different build-in heights, for children or wheelchair users, but also for truck drivers who need to operate the intercom from their driver's cab. For wheelchair users, for instance, it can be important to be able to drive underneath letterbox systems.
To guarantee the greatest possible safety, bathrooms in rehab centres or hospitals are often fitted with emergency call systems. This is something Siedle also offers: If the need arises, hotel staff can be alerted immediately using a loudspeaker and a call button.

This has been implemented, for instance, at cereneo, the center for neurology & rehabilitation, whose owner was dissatisfied with the customary systems on offer. Siedle implemented this functional feature in its Steel Manufaktur department, to equip the bathrooms and match the high-end interior architecture. Siedle Steel is also used for door communication in the clinic, inside and out.
