Geometric and linear clarity are the dominating features of the striking architectural concept. Its profile is determined by two slender gables arranged in offset formation. These accommodate the workrooms for the scientists, with the so-called Panopticon between them forming a place for meeting and exchange.
It accommodates communal group and conference rooms, with footbridges linking the two wings. The open, see-through character of the design is underpinned by the glass facade. Visitors reach the reception area on the ground floor through two large entrances. A free-standing stainless steel pedestal is located at both portals – invitingly placed to one side to leave free frontal access.
Both pedestals echo the signature geometric layout, the vertical alignment and also the colour scheme of the architecture: The carrier plates and stainless steel fronts are painted in the same grey-black shade as the facade, the engraving is finished in white.
The equipment comprises Siedle system technology (code lock, letterboxes, communication, lighting, concealed video camera) supplemented by switching and access systems from other manufacturers.
