The main headquarters of the Association of Municipal Companies in Berlin affords barrier-free accessibility. Building communication from Siedle helps facilitate access at the entrance. It complies with the current requirements of DIN 18040 "Construction of accessible buildings".
Barrier-free construction is about far more than installing wheelchair ramps and widening doors. Buildings also have to overcome functional hurdles, for example for those who have limited or no hearing. Communication systems from Siedle help to make this happen.
Now also for Siedle Classic
Siedle customers are able to gain an advance visual impression of how their system will look: With the online configurator, the manufacturer simplifies the process of door communication system planning and visualization. Alongside Vario and Select, the Siedle Classic design line in solid metal can now also be configured.
The Joseph Pschorr Haus building is a hybrid – in terms of both its typology and its integration into its immediate urban environment. The building communication system corresponds to the different facade concepts and echoes the varying materials. Functional elements at different operating heights guarantee barrier-free operation.
Individual communication in the hospital
The Center for Neurology & Rehabilitation known as the cereneo is located in a superb setting between the Vierwaldstätter Lake and the Rigi mountains. Siedle equipped the barrier-free clinic with specially developed, individually designed communication technology.
Authenticity coupled with subtle modernization: Our reference projects clearly demonstrate how Siedle systems can conserve the original character of a building, blending subtly into the existing building substance.
Individual communication in the hotel
On the banks of the Vierwaldstätter Lake is the Park Hotel Vitznau, steeped in tradition and now reopened after a comprehensive refurbishment. None of the 47 suites is the same as the next. Siedle supports the individual concept of the house with a range of materials and internally developed convenience functions.
New status display
Siedle has re-engineered the status display for the hard of hearing and extended the application spectrum: From now on, the function module is also available for Siedle Access. The manufacturer has optimized the legibility of the Vario module by making detail improvements.
What happens when we enter or leave a building? What is our perception of the experience, what role does the architecture play, what is the influence of technology? These were the issues deliberated by students at the Bauhaus University Weimar in cooperation with Siedle. The book "Threshold spaces" which has now been published looks at the results.
Interview: What is on the outside, what is on the inside?
ARCH+ Editor-in-Chief Nikolaus Kuhnert talks to Gabriele Siedle about the phenomenon of the transition.
Metal with a system
Siedle is expanding the Siedle Classic design line to create a variable system. A range of modular functional elements and a design grid permit the configuration of individual door stations. Siedle Classic now with integrated letterboxes, access control and movement sensor module.
The Siedle Configurator
Siedle customers are able to gain an advance visual impression of how their system will look: With an online configurator, Siedle simplifies the process of door communication system planning and visualization.
New size: Bus video panels
A video panel with a screen diagonal of just under 18 centimetres (7 inches) is the new high-end model among the Siedle indoor call stations. Its characteristic features are the large-scale monitor and a touchscreen in the deluxe models.
High-tech at the letterbox
Letterboxes from Siedle can do far more than simply receive the mail. Its connection with the door communication system lends the letterbox its own intelligence and creates a uniform look in the entrance area.
Eun Young Yi designed the Stuttgart Municipal Library as a monolith. Nothing is allowed to disrupt the homogeneous outer skin of the building. This is why Yi decided to opt for Siedle Steel as the building communication system: The systems were designed precisely to the specifications of the architect and blend seamlessly into the building envelope.
