Siedle cooperates with Bauhaus University Weimar

Siedle supports the new seminar entitled "Threshold spaces" at the architecture faculty of the Bauhaus University, Weimar. During the seminar event, students will be taking a close look at the processes surrounding arrival and reception.

Siedle is supporting the seminar not only in the capacity of sponsor but also with a material contribution: 25 master students of the Faculty of Design and Interior Architecture visited Siedle to become familiarized with design and technical developments surrounding the threshold. A practical session designed to provide a hands-on grounding in working with communication systems was followed by a planning workshop. This offered participants the opportunity, with support from Siedle advisors, to sound out how Siedle systems comply with structural and planning requirements.

The session dedicated to the dealing with technical processes surrounding the threshold culminated in a constructive dialogue between students and experts within the company. "It is only when we know what tomorrow's thresholds will look like that we can go ahead and develop the right technology", says Peter Strobel, Head of Corporate Communication, explaining what is behind the company's motivation.

As part of a design exercise, seminar participants will be looking for pioneering ways of approaching the phenomenon of the "in-between" world between inside and outside.
