Sophisticated technology behind black acrylic glass

Siedle supplements the Siedle Steel communication system with a sophisticated flush fit colour camera. With this development, the manufacturer has responded to the demands of the market, which increasingly calls for models tucked neatly into plane surfaces.

Flat cameras are in demand wherever technology is required to blend unobtrusively into the facade: for instance in low-profile flush mounted systems or in communication systems tucked neatly into plane surfaces. While the classical dome-shaped cameras stand well proud of the surface, the new plane models are integrated flush without adding any height. In particular where the door communication system echoes the material and colour scheme of the facade, the camera hardly draws attention to itself at all; the system blends into the background.

The colour camera technology is concealed below a surface made of black acrylic glass. The small lens is also visible within the close proximity of the camera. The slender profile of the camera consequently creates a whole new approach to the issue of security: Unlike the situation with conventional cameras, in this case video surveillance is extremely discreet. Without putting off potential visitors, the security technology permits unobserved surveillance of the entrance area.

Despite its low profile, in the technical terms the new camera fulfils every conceivable requirement. It is fitted with a highly developed wide-angled lens with precision picture resolution and high sensitivity under any light conditions. The day/night switchover function changes automatically to the real monochrome mode with integrated infrared lighting when dusk falls. The lens encompasses the whole entrance area without major distortion of the picture.
