A simple fingerprint opens the box

Smart letterbox

Smart letterboxes can do far more than just receive the mail. From now on, searching through a bag in the cold to find the letterbox key is a thing of the past. The secret: a letterbox with a new built-in intelligence and operation by fingerprint recognition.

Keyless opening offers an added convenience bonus particularly in the autumn and winter months: An end to trawling and searching, no more waiting around with cold feet. Siedle is now offering the same technology for your letterbox which has long since been available for front doors: Operation simply by scanning your fingerprint.

Through the connection to the door communication, letterboxes can now be opened if required without a key from the Siedle Steel communication system: Using a fingerprint reader, code lock or no-contact door release. If required, different fingerprints can be read into the system. This allows for instance a neighbour to deposit a Christmas package left by the postman in your letterbox. And anyone arriving home in the evening laden with shopping can leave their key in their bag.
